Confluences
Confluences: Contemporary Art from Latin America and Australia presented to the public works by artists Maria Fernanda Cardoso (Colombian-Australian) Emmanuelle Bernard (French-Brazilian), Graig Ruddy (Australian), among others. The Project was inspired by the book Confluences by Ranjit Hoskote and Ilija Trojanow, in which it propagates and disseminates the idea that “civilizations are the result of hybridity and that they were never pure or self-consistent entities”. The project presented art that denotes this cultural confluence, in several aspects, at the Museum of Fremassonary (MoF), in Sydney.
