O Tempo dos Sonhos
O Tempo dos Sonhos: Contemporary Aboriginal Art from Australia featured stunning works by Aboriginal artists like Emily Kame, the project's big star, and internationally renowned Clifford Possum. The artists of this exhibition, which delighted and continue to thrill audiences in Latin America, have already participated in exhibitions at the Metropolitan Museum of Art and MoMA (Museum of Modern Art) - both institutions from New York - Venice, Sydney and São Paulo Biennales. These artists also had works exhibited in museums in France, Japan and Germany - just to name a few countries.
The project tells the story and the narrative of the first Australians - the Aborigines - through their works of art. They are artists who have never had any representation in Latin America. O Tempo dos Sonhos visited 9 Brazilian cities. In 2019 the project was redesigned and won two versions. One was sent to Mexico, more precisely to the Museum Cabanãs, in Guadalajara. The second was presented at the MAPI Museum, in Uruguay. After Uruguay, the project will be shown in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and Santiago, Chile. Aboriginal art is considered by critics to be the last great art movement of the 20th century.
